Dog I feel that your art should reflect your reality or your experiences and the older you get the wiser and more experienced you are so keep making music. did anyone ever tell miles davis he was too old, or tell mick jagger he was too old to sell out a stadium? As long as the music is hot and the message is relevant to someone then you should make it no matter the age.

I agree with all you cats...as long as we stay in our lane, and not try to conform to what the kids of today are doing, i know its room for us, i mean we started this!..I dont see the Rolling Stones or Aerosmith hanging up there boots, neither should we. So all the haters should just accept it...WE AINT GOIN NOWHERE!..So if you spit fire and you are 55...KEEP SPITTIN!

I say if your over 30 and still trying to cop a deal chances are that your aren't gonna get one. Music industry is for the young.

"some of these old rappers don't know where the exit is...." -kanye west

what 40 year old rappers you know that are getting deals or are the buzz of the internets or the streets?

thats ok i'll wait......

hip hop is all about trend setting, out in the streets hustling your music, doing shows, traveling

i'm not saying their isnt old rappers still doing it but most of that is off the 30 and older crew reminiscing

So what if cats put out music that caters to the 30+ crowd. Do you then think that this type of music can sell? I think so.

Hell yeah! The only thing rough about being 30 + is when you're still tyring to be 22. Its time for Hip Hop to grow up and that is one of the missions of Flowbacks.com. To create a club house of sorts for us grown ass adults that don't want to see the music and culture we love fall into the hands of unworthy custodians. If you ask me it is ass backwards for a grown man to listen to a 20 year old all day long. I remember when I was about 12 my pops was about 33 and he was not fuckin with Prince, Micheal Jackson or Hip Hop, even though that was the hottest shit out at the time my pops was not dealing with the kiddie music, there comes a time when an adult has to separate his/her self from the children. Now a days it isn't unheard of for a teenager and his 30+ parents to listen to the same music and dress in similar gear. I don't know what you think but to me something just ain't right about that.

Well I'm ready to start a movement for us to hear our shit!!! We started this Hip Hop thing (generationally) and I want to hear Hip Hop. I don't particularly like the music my seeds listen to, but I'll defend their right to enjoy it as I had to defend it when I was young. Just as long as it's not that bullshit. As a sidebar, my kids and my high school students in the Bx love the shit I make in my studio and want to jump on the tracks, so not only will our generation enjoy the music but so will the youth. Let's start this movement y'all.
