Being the true sneaker connoisseur that i am!. Back in the day, if you didnt have the blue suede Pumas with the gray stripe, you were lame, and without a doubt, you had to have your shells, with the fat laces!. I will never forget, i was at a high school football game, and my boy Tyrone(shout out to Ty!) brought his cousin down from NYC, the legendary JAZZY JAY, he came to our football game and bought his box to the game! (Now if that is not hip-hop, i dont know WHAT is). Man was i gassed. So Ty introduced us, and i was like DAMN thats Jazzy Jay. Jay looked down at my shells and said "your shells are hot, but u need to take those fat laces out", from that day on NO MORE FAT LACES..LOL., also the Diadora's, Air force one's ( and no they didnt just come out like 3 yrs ago!), of course the Ewings, Ellesse, Delta Forces( the yellow joints were sick) But if you are a REAL sneaker head, you remember when NIKE came out with the Tempo Turf joints. (they were like soocer cleats or some shit)..HOT! Cant forget about the ADIDAS Forums. And without a doubt the Jordans...(sorry...the orignals..not the overpriced cheap ass remakes of today!)

does anyone remember the troop sneakers with the big silver badge on the front?
the suade pumas i think were called puma dallas,i had a pair of those and of course the shelltoes.

well...i'm kinda a new jack to all that...i remember the Walter Payton 'Roos w/ the change pocket though...but around '92 i remember getting into shit...Nike made a small line of Afrocentric shit then...kicks w/ 'one love' & 'peace' stitched in it w/ some crazy patterns...Reebok Above the Rim shit was ill...& i used to rock some ugly-ass Filas...i grew up in the era of Karl Kani & Cross Colors. you can find little stores here in downtown LA that have old Kani shit here for sale...makes me smile every time.
